Episode 319 : Lightroom 4 Public Beta New Feature Overview (Video)
Article from Martin Bailey Photography
Last week, Adobe released the Public Beta version of Lightroom 4, the lastest version of the software that many of us use and love. I’ve not gone crazy with LR4 yet, but I’ve had a bit of a play with it, so figured I’d do a video this week to show you some of the major new features that I’ve excited about, such as Soft Proofing, Maps, Books and some Video handling enhancements. You can actually edit how the video looks using Develop presets too, but it seems a bit fiddly at the moment. I’m hoping that Adobe make it possible to just make Develop module changes directly to video rather than relying on creating presets for this.
If you want to download Lightroom 4 Beta yourself, you can grab that here:
And here’s a link to Jeffrey Friedl’s GPS-Support Geoencoding Plugin for Lightroom too:
NOTE: The iTunes/iPhone version of this video is taking more time than expected, due to problems with the software. I’m releasing the fullscreen video first and will update the iTunes Feed later when I have an iPhone optimized version ready.
Here’s the video.Don’t forget to hit the full-screen button in the video window, or click on the Vimeo link and go full-screen from there.
Note that there is an iPod/iPhone version of this video in iTunes, but when watching on a computer, the video above is better.
